Low GI Diet
The glycemic index is a measurement of blood sugar levels. The low-GI diet involves consuming only foods that are low on the glycemic index; these are digested more slowly, keeping us feeling full for longer. It minimises fluctuations in blood glucose and so is recommended for diabetes management. It is also good for weight-loss and helps reduce cholesterol levels and the risk of heart disease.
